This image of shells on the beach at Shelter Island, New York is composed of 3 individual shots taken at 280mm. I took them during the late afternoon, so the light was quite horizontal, but the wind was blowing about 30 miles per hour, so I had to stay pretty low to the ground. Hence I was looking along the beach for a shot when I came upon these to shells–one light the other dark–yet sitting there in oposition, they seemed one of a piece.
