A Memoir In Image and Word

The first image I took for this series was Holding, back in January of 2013. The original intention was to create a Hopper like print. Then in 2015, I came up with the idea of doing a series that was all shot within my home, which I worked on for nearly a year. In the summer of 2016, I decided to write a poem to go with each of the twenty images. Finally, in January 2021, I decided to turn the series into a video, in which I used each of the twenty images from the series as well as some of the images I had decided not to use back in 2015. The result is the video, At Home.

At Home is a 4K UHD video (3840 by 2160 pixels). This website has a maximum width of 1000 pixels, so if you watch the video here, the resolution will be 1000 by 562 pixels. However, if you use this link, At Home, you will be able to view the video directly on Vimeo. Note though, that depending on your computer, your monitor and the bandwidth of your internet connection, you may still not be able to view Sanctuary in its full 4K resolution. Once you've viewed the video, the back button will return you to this website.
