This image of the reservoir in Central Park in New York, New York is composed of 6 individual shots taken at 140mm. New York City officials had a stroke of genius when the consolidated the idea of park in Manhattan in the 1850's, and another one when they chose Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux to do the design work. This group of cormorants seemed to agree with my thoughts as they perched atop the pump house, even though they appeared preoccupied with preening rather then the magnificent view, but parks are meant to offer a place for renewal.
